Community College of Philadelphia to bolster spend management with ESM’s full suite
Upgrade includes ERP integration with Ellucian Ethos
The Community College of Philadelphia will deploy ESM’s full suite of spend management solutions and become one of the first users to take advantage of ESM’s new partnership with Ellucian and its Ethos platform.
CCP serves about 28,000 students taking both credit and noncredit courses and is the largest public institution of higher education in Philadelphia. The institution already relies on ESM’s contract management solution to automate its entire contract management lifecycle. The flexible solution molds to users’ unique workflows and includes a fully searchable platform that makes it easy to find contracts, supporting documentation and other details.
Full Suite Deployed
Now, CCP also will implement ESM’s procurement, invoice and sourcing solutions to automate the entire procure-to-pay cycle. Benefits include
- an online marketplace with only approved vendors and negotiated contracts to cut down on maverick spend.
- a collaborative sourcing module that streamlines the work to create and post RFPs and interact with suppliers.
- electronic invoicing to simplify the invoice and payment process.
With ESM’s procurement tool, CCP will integrate its ERP, Banner by Ellucian, with Ellucian Ethos.
The higher education data model unifies data from Ellucian and partner applications like ESM into a single source and facilitates the seamless flow of data. Ethos also eliminates the costly and time-consuming maintenance of multiple point-to-point integrations, letting IT staff focus on value added processes and programs.
Ellucian partnered with ESM to co-develop the eProcurement API’s for Ethos platform. ESM was the first eProcurement provider to connect its platform to Ethos and to conduct transactions through it.
“CCP has done great work with our contract management solution,” ESM CEO Anthony Rotoli said. “We look forward to seeing them celebrate more gains with our full suite, especially as they maximize their investment in their ERP with ESM’s Ellucian Ethos integration.”
