ESM Product Highlights: A Look Back on 2022

It’s hard to believe that 2022 is coming to a close. But as we look back at what we’ve accomplished this past year and ahead to what’s to come, we’re proud of our progress. Let’s reflect on what we’ve achieved in 2022.

Enhanced Integrations

Integration was certainly a key theme for ESM in 2022. From a new integration to Power School for K-12 schools to enhanced integration with our strategic partner Ellucian for our higher ed institutions, our investment in development enhancement and commitment to integration is crystal clear. We see exciting new possibilities with our partner Ellucian. We have created development environments that are helping us envisage new innovations connecting the Ellucian Banner Finance, Colleague Finance solutions, ETHOS and Ellucian Experience. It is through smarter connections between these solutions we believe exciting new insight and transformation opportunities can be created. 

Through our partnerships with leading cloud-based software partners, we’ve created seamless experiences for our customers so they can realize greater efficiency in their procurement processes and operations. And the feedback from customers is amazing! We’re hearing about the transformational ways these integrations help them achieve greater administration/spend management and visibility, saving them both time and money. This improved experience for administrators and staff helps them and their institutions to achieve greater spend efficiency and put savings to work serving faculty, teachers and students.

New Supplier Posting Board

In early 2022, we announced our new event posting board for ESM Source. This new posting board blends modern technology and design with a better user experience and more intuitive navigation so suppliers can more easily find and bid on relevant events. Using the new posting board, suppliers have a better experience through improved response quality and better decision-making. As a result, we’re seeing happier suppliers!

Really Good Stuff

In August 2022, ESM announced our new partnered supplier relationship with Really Good Stuff, a subsidiary of Excelligence Learning Corporation. Really Good Stuff offers a huge range of innovative, teacher-created classroom solutions for kids from infancy to 8th grade, including teacher supplies and resources, classroom organization and furniture, distance learning equipment, play & learn, BTS bundles, SEL support, and much more. ESM has a long-standing relationship with Really Good Stuff, and was thrilled to embrace the team as a partnered supplier to bring greater convenience to our mutual K-12 customers.

Expanding our Team

The ESM team is growing! In August, we welcomed Harry Athey as our new Vice President of Engineering. Harry, a US Navy veteran, brings decades of experience in developing large-scale software systems, as well as deep understanding of cutting-edge architectures and cloud technologies which he will use to benefit our clients.

Kerrie Kindrat also joined ESM as a Customer Success Manager. In her role, she will partner closely with our customers to help them achieve their business goals and outcomes using products from ESM and our partners.

In addition, the broader ESM team is growing globally, adding 12 new team members across the USA, Canada, and the UK. These new hires will join our growing engineering, IT, services, and customer support teams, providing valuable skills and resources to support important initiatives for the coming years.

Finally, Norris Garrison, joined the leadership team as the Director of Professional Services. Many of you may recognize Norris as he has supported over XX  ESM implementations over the past XX  years.
