NAEP 2024 Mid-Atlantic Highlights: 3 Takeaways for Procurement Leaders

The NAEP (National Association of Educational Procurement) Mid-Atlantic Regional Event was an invaluable opportunity for procurement leaders and practitioners from Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Washington DC, and West Virginia to connect, share strategies, and explore new avenues to strengthen procurement’s role within education. This year, the ESM team joined alongside Consolidus for an informative session showcasing the solution + supplier + Institution as a full user journey. It was great to meet with attendees and gain insights into the procurement challenges they are tackling. Through these conversations, three significant challenges emerged for procurement leaders, underscoring the urgent need for modern, integrated solutions.

This often leaves users frustrated as they navigate the process, unsure of which vendors the institution prefers or if they have the funds necessary to make a purchase. As new demands and expectations arise, a need for improved scalability and usability is emerging as a priority for procurement offices.
